I recently purchased an acer desktop with a quad core processor and windows vista preminum os. I purchased nero 8 and I have dvd shrink installed on my system the problem is that when I burn dvds my dvd players wont play them back has anyone had the same problem with windows vista please help...
I tried using Nero and found out that it would not work on my Acer Aspire 5570z however I dont think the problem is the OS as much as the software. I was using filehog DVD-Video Maker without any problems burning downloaded movies the software came with Image Burn which I updated by going to the Image Burn site and installing the siftware in the default install directory for filehog program files. When I was promted for the imstall directory that also put a shortcut on my desktop for the Image Burn program To burn a CD-R audio mp3 album I downloaded I went to the quickpicker main screen and delected the write mode then made a cue file then used this cue file to burn a audio CD that will play in my car cd disc player. There are guides on the forum for burning a cd-r disk and I used the filehog rpogram to male a DVD with no problem I am going to try out the BurnON CD/DVD software that was on this site but I am keeping my program that I know works The file for the DVD Maker software can be found at http://www.filehog.com look under the DVD Software for the DVD-Maker proram and you will get the download link there. There is also other DVD encoding and this software will join part1 and part 2 sownloads of movies very easy. I hope this helps I looked for a while to get a program that I know will work every time I use it wthout wasting my DVD disk and time with software that does not work.
